      Randi & Brett

      Tell us your proposal story

Brett proposed at sunset while walking along the Tangolunda Beach in Huatulco, Mexico on February 12, 2019!

      How we met

We met at a wedding dance in Halkirk! Although we had our eyes on each other for much longer than that!

Did you know you would end up together or was it a happy surprise?

It was a happy surprise to meet at the wedding dance, but after our first date we both knew we would be together always.

      Favorite part of your relationship?

We are best friends and truly enjoy every minute together. We laugh a lot, learn so much from each other and we are always on the same page.

      Short or long engagement?

      A year and a half.

Why did he or you choose the ring you did?

Brett brought ideas of what he envisioned for the ring and Mike made it a reality and more, with his attention to detail and tasteful ideas!

How did you hear about Lawlor Jewelry?

Lawlor Jewelry has always been a popular name around town and Brett is super fortunate to have Mike as one of his closest friends. It was a no brainer to choose Lawlor Jewelry for our rings! It was such a fun and easy experience and we would have not wanted it any other way!

      Tell us your proposal story

I have been “patiently” waiting on our engagement as it’s been 4.5 years now! We went to San Diego on a get away and I thought it might be happening, and there I was flying home with no ring and thinking I was crazy for expecting it! The next week after coming home we went to Chad's parents farm where I like to ride my horse and we went around on quads. We sat and visited for a bit at the half way point and just before we started to head home I turned around to find him on one knee! Best day ever!

      How we met

I met Chad by tracking him down on Facebook ! I had always heard of him, and one night after going out with friends I got the nerve to do it.... I asked him for his autograph haha! It feels embarrassing now, liquid courage had me going!

Did you know you would end up together or was it a happy surprise?

Right when I met him I knew I wanted to spend forever with him! I love how he makes life an adventure, we’re always travelling somewhere fun, going on date nights, or starting crazy business ideas we have!

      Favorite part of your relationship?

My favorite part of our relationship is every year we look back and have experienced more adventures than we would have imagined together! We both love travelling, and every day is full of laughs. Chad is gone a lot of our relationship but it doesn’t bother either of us cause we always make our time together count!

      Short or long engagement?

We got engaged on October 20th and we are getting married September 26, 2020 which will also be our five year anniversary!

Tell us about the ring he chose

I literally got the ring I had dreamed of, and I had never told Chad of a ring this beautiful cause I never imagined having one of my own honestly! It’s a cushion cut diamond with a halo and diamonds on the band . He designed it himself with Mike and absolutely crushed it!

How did you hear about Lawlor Jewelry?

Chad has known Mike for a long time and always wants to support local ! He has made a lot of rings that I have loved on social media as well!

      Tell us your proposal story

We were out for dinner to celebrate Braden’s birthday with a few of our best friends. He went to the washroom and got iced when he got back, so he went down on his knee, slammed the ice incredibly fast and then said “While I’m down here”... I completely froze. Mouth full of food while he gave the sweetest speech and popped the question. I said yes with my mouth still full and was completely in shock until the next day!

      How we met

We went to school together, so we’ve known each other for quite a long time, but weren’t friends in high school. Many years later we bumped into each other out one night, I got his number and I’ve been annoying him ever since lol!

Did you know you would end up together or was it a happy surprise?

I never would’ve pictured us ending up together and he would agree, it was very random.

      Favorite part of your relationship?

My favorite part of our relationship is how he pushes me to be my best self every day. We are both so easy going and always down for a laugh, which makes loving him pretty easy. And becoming parents together has only made our love grow that much stronger!

      Short or long engagement?

We got engaged January 26th and we are getting married this New Year’s Eve! So not quite a year-long engagement.

Tell us about the ring he chose

The ring is absolutely stunning! I could not have picked a more perfect design myself.. The cut is gorgeous!

How did you hear about Lawlor Jewelry?

I’ve lived in Stettler all my life and Lawlor Jewelry has always been the go-to jewelry store in town. Amazing family and service. My brother Evan has been friends with Mike since they were in high so I’ve known the Lawlor family for quite a long time and always hoped my future fiancé would go through Mike and Lawlor Jewelry for the perfect ring!

      Proposal in the Mountains

      Proposal in the Mountains

      Brendan & Ally
A year and a half ago I went on my first little vacation with B at the Banff Springs Hotel. Fast forward to the end of July, his best friend along with his girlfriend came up, and he insisted on showing them the castle we fell in love in. After a plate of nachos (yes, nachos at the fanciest place in Banff) we went down to a quiet spot to get some nice group photos. Little did I know that when it was our turn for a picture together, he would pull me toward him, and get down on one knee with a little white box. Being completely honest, in all the shock and happiness, I could hardly mutter a 'yes' out before going for a hug let alone see what was in the box. After settling down, I saw what he put on my hand and couldn't help but tear up. My hockey player who gets my advice on anything from his mask and pad designs to game day bow ties managed to find me the most beautiful ring I'll ever see. Thank you Mike for helping B out, and being a part of the most incredible moment - much gratitude.

      Ice Castle Paradise

      Dean & Emma Fowler

We had planned a trip to the ice castle in Edmonton on our anniversary. Little did Emma know, the night was going to be much more special than she realized. I had carefully placed the ring into the pocket of my snow pants and headed to pick Emma up. Once we were in the castle and had taken in the amazing views, as well as the ice slide, I found the perfect little corner to get down on one knee. I pulled out the ring and said those four little words as Emma's eyes filled up with tears.

      She said yes!!
We would love to send a Huge Congratulations to newly Engaged Couple. We wish you the very best and a life time of Happiness!
      From us at Lawlor Jewelry,
      Mike & Alden
